Clayton Children's Center offers education games and activities, music and movement activities, and time for teaching kids to express their creativity. The program also uses outdoor play yards and three fun filled playgrounds as part of the daily experience.

Clayton Children's Center has been a part of the Clayton community since 1980 and has been providing loving care and quality education for nearly forty years. The program is open year round, including school holidays and minimum days, and is closed the week of Christmas. The school is licensed by the state of California. The mission of Clayton Children's Center includes a unique and stimulating curriculum that encourages creativity, social development, and skill building.
The campus includes three spacious playgrounds tucked away on an acre of land away from traffic and noise, along with learning and fun outdoor play yards. Teachers offer secure pick up procedures and do a name-to-face attendance check of every student, and the school conducts monthly fire and earthquake drills.
The staff is described as dedicated and caring, is CPR/First Aid trained, ECE educated and experienced, and has passed a criminal background check. Leadership includes Director Sandy McCracken, Assistant Director Kara Fredrickson, Half Day Two's Teacher Alexa Soares, Afterschool Kindergarten Teacher Maddie Sanna, Half Day Four's Teacher Taylor Pousard, Half Day Three's Teacher Shelby Newton, Full Day Two's Teacher Deryl Patterson, and staff members Megan Reindl and Katie Kendall.
