Since 1997, America’s Kids In Motion has grown from a small swim program with one coach and a few children in a community pool to ten facilities and over 40,000 square feet of youth activity space at the Parkway Trails Shopping Center. The organization describes its approach as The America’s Kids Way and states that its programs are designed for children to have fun, make friends, and learn new skills, with a focus on prioritizing fun and celebrating achievements.
America’s Kids In Motion notes that it serves thousands of families each week in the Fresno and Clovis areas and is home to children’s sports programming in the Central Valley. Its offerings include swimming, gymnastics, dance, ninja, music, preschool, and summer camps, along with Kids Night Out for children aged 5 to 10 and over-the-top themed events such as annual visits from the “REAL Santa” and a yearly Not So Spooky Spook Alley.
The program highlights several features, including 40,000 square feet of youth activity space designed to create an environment of belonging, celebration, and fun, a nationally certified swim curriculum, USAG certified gymnastics instructors, an independently licensed NinjaZone program, and a curriculum at The Campus Preschool that it states far exceeds state standards for kindergarten readiness with a blend of strong academics, movement-based learning, music, and violin. It also describes itself as a one-stop shop for multiple children’s activities in one place and states that its nationally recognized programs guarantee progress in every lesson.
America’s Kids Swim School reports that it uses a nationally certified curriculum implemented by professionally certified coaches, and that its gymnastics program is led by USAG certified instructors. The organization states that it provides over 25 full-time career-level management positions, selects instructors through rigorous interviews and checks, upholds them to core values through quarterly evaluations, commits to a knowledgeable skill set, accountability, and a respectful workplace, and has expertise in early childhood education for a well-rounded experience.
The leadership team includes President of AKIM Lori Klatt; Aquatics Director Mark Wagner; Infant/Toddler Swimming Department Leader Jessi Klatt; Department Leader of Instruction and Education Shane Matthews; Department Leader of Swimming Operations Manuel Salas; Competitive Gymnastics Director Stephanie Sweazy; Recreational Gymnastics Director Brandon Wong; Preschool Gymnastics Director Hailey Field; Director of Dance Ashley Gorden; Ballet Conservatory Department Leader Aubree Robbins; Commercial Dance Department Leader Rachel Durant; Preschool Dance Department Leader Hunter Mikus; NinjaZone Director Colby Toomer; The Campus Preschool Site Supervisor Shivani Minhas; Director of Operations Darrylynn Silva-Costa; Director of Marketing Brianna Hafen; Critical Marketing Department Leader Sarah Chafi; Director of Finance Marla Cavallaro; Lead Enrollment Specialist Rebecca Adame; and Director of Human Resources Mariah Mendoza.
