Colusa County Family Resource Center – Summer Camps and Activities for Children

Colusa County Family Resource Center – Summer Camps and Activities for Children offers summer camps and activities for children along with other programming for children. The program includes Girls on the Run, open play space on certain days and times, and My Baby & Me and My Toddler & Me classes. Families can also take part in Growing Start Parent Playgroups and receive food through food distribution.

The program provides application assistance, CalFresh enrollment, and parent support groups. It offers nutrition information, skill trainings, and support for families in need or in crisis, including health and safety and violence prevention. Staff connect families to child care, housing, job training, and a multitude of resources and community agencies, and they offer translation services, wrap around services, home visiting, and services for children with special needs. The program operates in a comfortable, family friendly environment. According to its mission statement, the Colusa Family Resource Center offers a wide variety of services to children, families, and community members through early learning and school readiness programs and states that it believes each family is strong in its own way and that it is there to help families succeed. The program also offers concrete supports to families by facilitating referrals and expedited processes with partnering agencies and by connecting families to multiple community resources and agencies.
