About
ELEVATE Basketball & Performance Training offers basketball training through AAU teams, drop-in group basketball training, private and small group basketball lessons, camps, clinics, and gym rentals. The program also hosts birthday parties that can include basketball, dodgeball, and soccer as activities, with full gym access and no outside groups during party time. For birthday parties, ELEVATE handles the setup of tables and chairs, and families can bring their own food, drinks, and decorations.
• Ages: 8–18 years old
• Schedule: Drop-in group basketball training takes place on Sundays, with Boys 4th–7th Grade from 9–10 am with Coach Cam, Boys 8th–High School from 9:10–10 am with Coach Jim, and Girls 7th–High School from 10–10:50 am with Coach Jim. Private lessons are available in 50-minute or 30-minute sessions, and small group lessons are 50 minutes. The AAU Spring season runs from early March to May, with practices twice a week at ELEVATE in 75-minute sessions scheduled between 5–9 pm, and it includes the RENO MEMORIAL WEEKEND TOURNAMENT with 4 games over 3 days. The Slam Dunk birthday party option is a 2-hour time block with optional additional 30-minute increments, and gym rentals are generally available on weekday nights from 9 pm on, weekends 7–9 am and 7 pm on, and holidays by arrangement.
• Price: Drop-in group training costs $30 for Boys 4th–7th Grade, $40 for Boys 8th–High School, and $40 for Girls 7th–High School. Private 50-minute lessons cost $95 per session with Coach Jim and $75 per session with Coach Cam, while 30-minute lessons cost $55 with Coach Jim and $45 with Coach Cam. Small group 50-minute lessons cost $50 per athlete for 2–4 athletes and $40 per athlete for 5 or more athletes. The AAU Spring Season costs $675 plus $250 for Memorial Weekend, for a total of $925, and a new uniform costs $100 and includes a reversible uniform and an ELEVATE shooting shirt. The Slam Dunk birthday party option costs $350 for the standard 2-hour block, with additional 30-minute increments at $50 and $10 per child for participants beyond the 15-kid standard package. Gym rental costs $75 per hour.
ELEVATE Basketball & Performance Training has been serving the Concord community for over 10 years and is proud to celebrate over 10 years of service. The program offers AAU teams for boys in 3rd–8th grade and girls from 4th grade through high school, with a Spring AAU season that ends with the JAM ON IT RENO MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT, which is recognized as the world's largest AAU Tournament. The program’s AAU teams have a stated goal to be a no-cut program that is inclusive.
The leadership team includes Founder and Head Trainer Jim Croy, Master Skills Trainer Kendall Holmes, and Master Skills Trainer Cameron “Cam Curry.” Jim Croy has been coaching and training athletes in basketball since graduating from college in 1998, was a two-time league MVP and three-time 1st Team All League player at Northgate, and holds school records for points in a game (40), rebounds in a game (20), and free throws made in a game (17), as well as being first in career rebounding (777) and second in points (1,660). He started his college career at Division 1 Cal Poly, finished at Westmont College where he was named Defensive Player of the Year, and was inducted into the Northgate Hall of Fame. Kendall Holmes was a decorated player at Ygnacio Valley High School, Diablo Valley Junior College, and Fresno Pacific University, has coached AAU teams for ELEVATE, and has coached at several Bay Area high schools on both the boys and girls sides; he currently serves as the Head Girls JV Coach at Northgate. Coach Cam specializes in working with guards and perimeter players and is on staff for the boys’ program at Acalanes.
