Newport-Mesa NJB Youth Basketball offers basketball clinics, basketball practices, basketball games, and a basketball camp, along with a single-elimination championship tournament and an All-Star Program. The program includes a co-ed clinic league that prepares athletes for separate boys and girls divisional play, and teams in the league are capped at 8–9 players. Newport-Mesa NJB offers indoor practices and indoor games and uses trained coaches for the clinic.

The 15th Annual Don Daniels Memorial Tournament is a single-elimination championship tournament, with champions listed for various divisions, and its championship games are held at Newport-Mesa area gyms. Newport-Mesa NJB sponsors include NJB - National Junior Basketball, NHBA Youth Baseball, and Newport Beach Baseball Association. The program also offers the 12th Annual Sailor Summer Boys & Girls Basketball Camp and a Winter league All-Star Program for all the cities to compete for the championship. An NJB Coaches Clinic is mandatory for all coaches, including both assistants and head coaches, and NJB offers year-round basketball for grades K–12. Gym rules state that no food or beverage is allowed in the gym at any time, except water or sports drinks for players, and families are asked to clean up after themselves so the gyms can continue to be used.
