• Schedule: Summer camp sessions run June 15–19 and August 3–7, with additional seasonal programming including tryouts, pre-season team training, informational webinars, parent meetings, and mandatory team training camps.
Corte Madera FC is a community club founded in 2014 by parents in partnership with the Town of Corte Madera Parks & Recreation Department and has 30+ teams and more than 350 players. The club states that the cornerstone of its foundation is providing players the flexibility to continue to participate in multiple sports and offers winter and spring soccer programming for interested United players. Its mission states that the most important component in a young player’s success is access to a fun, positive, and progressive soccer environment.
Corte Madera FC teams compete in the NorCal Premier Soccer league at levels ranging from bronze to NPL (National Premier League). The club has facilitated player participation in NorCal PDP and MLS Next programs, and it has alumni on college teams and at the San Jose Earthquakes Academy. The United program, for ages U13–U19, is a collaboration of Corte Madera FC, Mill Valley SC, and Tiburon Peninsula SC, formed to provide a quality competitive soccer experience when players move to 11v11 and bigger rosters, and it includes a partnership with Napa United for supplemental training with MLS Next and Girls Academy teams.
For U8–U12, practices are described as engaging and focused on learning through play, with an emphasis on ball control, passing, and shooting, and the use of age-appropriate, small-sided games to maximize time on the ball. The club describes a positive team culture that views mistakes as chances to learn and build resilience, uses a methodology and curriculum based on different stages of children’s physical and cognitive development, and has coaches who teach players how to read the game and stay calm under pressure.
