Family Programs takes place at the UC Irvine Langson Orange County Museum of Art and is part of the museum’s broader exhibitions and public programming. The program is connected to a museum that engages and sparks meaningful encounters with art and ideas and offers membership-based access to one-of-a-kind experiences related to the museum community.

• Ages: 0–5 years old

The museum’s history includes its founding in 1962 by thirteen women as the Fine Arts Patrons Pavilion Gallery, its renaming as the Newport Harbor Art Museum in 1968, the Orange County Museum of Art in 1997, and its transition in 2025 to the UC Irvine Langson Orange County Museum of Art. The museum operates in both Costa Mesa and Irvine and continues to host exhibitions and public programming in these two locations. General admission is sponsored by Lugano Diamonds, and LAist is listed as a media partner. The building’s architect, Thom Mayne, is a Pritzker Prize-winning architect, founder of the studio Morphosis, and co-founder of the Southern California Institute of Architecture, and Morphosis emphasizes performance-driven design that is environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable. Museum membership includes rental benefits, and revenue from private rentals supports the museum’s programming and exhibitions.
