Seams Baseball Camp includes pitching, hitting, fielding, baserunning, speed and agility work, a 6 Step Throwing Program, sliding drills, and a wiffle ball competition. The camp places specific attention on arm care through its 6 Step Throwing Program, sliding technique through sliding drills, and game play through a wiffle ball competition.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
Many of the instructors at Seams Baseball Camp have played college and/or professional baseball and have coached at various different levels. The camp is led by Coach Bret LeVier, who is the head coach at San Juan Hills High School and runs RoughRiders Baseball Club, an elite travel team in South Orange County. Coach LeVier played Division 1 baseball and football at CSU-Sacramento, signed with the Boston Red Sox and played three seasons in A–AA for the organization, and also played independent baseball in the Golden Baseball League for the Orange County Flyers and the Victoria Seals. Coach LeVier has been directing youth baseball camps for over 15 years.
The program’s mission states that it values working hard and having fun while learning the game of baseball, with a goal that every player has a memorable experience and forms longstanding relationships with coaches and peers while learning proper knowledge about the game. The camp emphasizes sportsmanship, communication skills, and a positive mental attitude. Each day includes a Daily MVP and Hustler Award, and each week includes MVP, Hustler, Sportsmanship, and Most Improved awards.
