About
AYSO Region 602 Youth Soccer Programs offers youth soccer programs and youth sports programming. The program also includes a PLAYSOCCER event as part of its activities.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
AYSO Region 602 Youth Soccer Programs follows the mission of the American Youth Soccer Organization: “Providing world class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives.” The program notes that the soccer season is coming soon and that children ages 4 to 19 years old can register, with participation described for ages 4 to 18 years old. AYSO VIP is now called EPIC, and the program references Silent Saturday Guidelines, a No Pets on the Fields Policy, 2024–2025 Laws of the Game changes, and a Player Development Initiative.
The broader American Youth Soccer Organization, which includes AYSO Region 602, is involved in a partnership with Chicago Public Schools to enhance youth sports programming. It also has a partnership with the US Center for Mental Health & Sport focused on player and volunteer wellness, and a partnership with the Northland Sports Alliance to expand soccer programming in Kansas City. Michael Karon, President of AYSO, is recognized with the Stack Leadership Award for his impact in the world of sports volunteering.
