For a first visit, students taking a trial class or facility tour check in at the front desk. Enrolled students hang up their bags and leave their shoes at the front of the building on the hooks and in the shoe holder, then walk along the white wall to the back room of the facility for warm ups. Boys must wear tucked-in T-shirts and elastic waist shorts or pants, and girls are required to wear a leotard or unitard. No chewing gum or dangling jewelry is allowed; stud earrings may be worn, but dangling or hoop earrings, bracelets, and rings may not be worn. Hair must be pulled neatly and securely away from the face for the entire workout, and girls are asked not to wear bows or large hair ornaments that may cause discomfort during activity. All students are barefoot during class, and personal items should be left in cubby holes or with parents, with jewelry items left at home. Stars Gymnastics staff will not be responsible for items that may be lost or stolen, and families are asked to mark students’ personal items with their names. Stars Gymnastics uses emails and text messaging to communicate with parents and guardians of gymnasts who have opted in to receive messages.
