OTE Dance Studio was founded in 2014 by professional dancers and choreographers Kim Borgaro and Robert Gilliam, who also direct the OTE Intensive. The Summer Ballet Intensive is led by Ballet Mistress Katya Viola, and a featured Hip-Hop class is taught by Daisy, who performed in Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show. The studio’s mission is to foster a love of dance in a supportive, non-competitive environment, with a student-centered approach that nurtures individuality in an empowering, artistic, and inclusive setting. The kids program for ages 3–17 offers over 40 classes, and OTE Dance Company is a preprofessional dance company for ages 5–18, with OTE Intensive being mandatory for all OTE Company Dancers in The Juniors and The Dream companies.

OTE Dance Studio’s summer dance camps are open to participants of all levels with no prerequisite dance experience and include a final performance for friends and family. The Summer Ballet Intensive focuses on building strong ballet technique, refining artistry, and developing precision in movement, and includes dance conditioning and specialized stretching to enhance strength, flexibility, and injury prevention; it is open to all levels, but ballet experience is required, and it ends with a showcase for family and friends. The OTE Intensive is designed for intermediate to advanced dancers and includes a choreography challenge. Students are asked to come prepared daily with their own water, snacks, and lunch.

In community work, Robert Gilliam has taught “Do U Dance” classes to hundreds of PVUSD school children through the “Giving Dance a Chance” program, introducing the basics of krumpin’ and breakin’ along with lessons about teamwork and self-discovery. Owner Kim Borgaro states, “I love pushing young dancers to become more than they ever dreamed they could be. I strive to encourage our dancers to become not only confident young artists with their own voices, but also confident young people.”
