Everyday Mandarin is a Higher Level Learning program that was founded in 2012. During the summer, the Chinese Summer School format integrates Mandarin into daily activities and includes 2–3 hours each day in Chinese language class. The program also offers an Advanced Pathway to Mandarin Proficiency and a full immersion online Mandarin class for all levels and ages.

Everyday Mandarin states that it has over 25 teachers on staff. Teachers undergo rigorous training that prepares them for the classroom and for students who are accustomed to Western methodologies of instruction and classroom management. The program uses behavior modification to get positive results and help students reach their Chinese language goals, and teachers use only positive reinforcement and rewards while being described as empathetic and encouraging of their students.

The program’s mission states that it has always put students first and that the founder’s negative experience with Chinese school as a child guided him to create Chinese language programs that will excite kids to love learning Chinese and Mandarin. The mission also states that Everyday Mandarin aims to get children excited about learning about China, its culture, history, and language, and to make learning Chinese and Mandarin engaging, relevant, and fun so children will be motivated to learn. Everyday Mandarin also states that it wants to create an online and in-person community of students, parents, and teachers who can engage one another and share their passion for learning Mandarin.

Everyday Mandarin offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee. The program states that it does not use contracts or deposits, and that if a family is not satisfied and the program cannot rectify the situation, it will provide a refund.

One parent, Carla Ng, reports that her children have been attending Everyday Mandarin since kindergarten and that they enjoy being in the program and learning about their culture and language, and she notes that Ms. Wu and the staff teach Mandarin in a positive way. Another parent, Erine Budi, reports that her child enjoyed the summer camp, describes the teacher as patient and knowledgeable, and notes that her child started talking in Mandarin and teaching her Mandarin words, and that they received many pictures at the end of camp.
