Danman's Music School Camps and Classes offers rock camp, summer camps, and band camps, along with one-on-one music lessons. Danman's Music School Camps and Classes was founded by Daniel H. Lefler in 1987 and has been teaching all instruments, ages, and skill levels since that time. Expert instructors have professional and performance backgrounds, and the school has been a fully licensed corporation operating in California for decades. Danman’s Music School has been a cornerstone of the Dana Point music community for over three decades and is a member of the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce, with longtime support for local families, schools, and businesses.
The program offers lessons in person or through Zoom-based remote lessons, with lessons available seven days a week and supported by online scheduling and payment tools. Students have access to free student recitals year-round, six kids concerts per year featuring 20–30 students per show, and performances that can include solos, duets, or playing with a full backing band made up of fellow students and instructors. Additional features include access to an online music library, 2-for-1 Saturdays, a refer-a-friend program offering a $100 credit, and the option for students to bring their own instruments or use the school’s gear. The program also includes Danman’s Retail Store, Danman’s ProTools Recording Studio, and historically has included Danman’s Dance & Children’s Theater, as well as the founding of the Dana Point Children’s Theater & Music Co., a nonprofit.
