About

The Mariners Sea Scouts Program includes Mariner Juniors for youth ages 12-13 and Mariners for youth ages 14-18. Mariners learn nautical skills and how to sail a variety of boats, from 14 ft. Capris to 38 ft fully equipped ships. The fleet includes over 30 vessels for training and recreational use, and activities listed include nautical training, seascout competitions, recreational sailing, and racing.

Programs

  • Mariner Juniors Program — Youth ages 12-13 · Spring class is from 6:30pm – 8:00pm. Saturday 4:00pm (intermediate) based on your class placement.
  • Mariners Program — Youth aged 14-18 · Wednesday class is from 6:30pm – 9:00pm. Saturday classes are from 9:00am – 12:00 (beginner) or 1:00pm – 4:00pm (intermediate) based on your class placement. Sunday Team Practice is from 1:00pm – 5:00pm.
  • Nautical Training — 12 weeks per session of Wednesday evening classes for 2.5 hours each. On-the-water training takes place on weekend days during fall and spring seasons.
  • Seascout Competitions — At the end of both seasons (fall and spring).
  • Recreational Sailing — Most Saturdays and Sundays year around.
