Diablo Scorpion Lacrosse Club offers Spring Lacrosse, Fall Ball, and special clinics for players in the off season from December through February to allow them to start or continue working on their skills. The program also runs the Scorpions Clinic 2026, which is scheduled for Sunday, February 1st, 2026, from 4–5 PM and is described as perfect for new players who want to try lacrosse without purchasing equipment. At the Scorpions Clinic 2026, no sticks or pads are needed.
• Ages: 3–13 years old
• Schedule: The main season runs from January through May, with special clinics offered in the off season from December through February.
• Price: Spring Refund Policy: Full refund of league fees less a $40 administration fee for requests prior to November 15th; full refund of league fees less a $40 administration fee for medical-related requests prior to December 15th; 50% refund for non-medical requests from November 16th–November 30th; no refunds after December 15th. Fall Ball Refund Policy: Full refund of league fees less a $20 administration fee for requests prior to September 11th; 50% refund for non-medical requests from September 12th–September 30th; no refunds after October 1st. No refunds for uniforms, gear bags, Scorpion spirit wear, or other merchandise sold by the club. US Lacrosse Membership fees are paid directly to US Lacrosse and are not refundable by Scorpion Lacrosse.
Diablo Scorpion Lacrosse Club was established in 2001, starting with 150 players in its first year and 250 players in its second year, and later reaching approximately 660 players in its 11th year. The club has established both girls and boys programs and has 35 club teams ranging from Kindergarten through 8th grade, with beginner to advanced levels of play for both boys and girls. The team mascot is the Scorpion, team colors are orange and navy, and helmets and jerseys are orange with blue letters and white trim with blue shorts. The mission of Diablo Scorpion Lacrosse Club is to instill positive life lessons for all participants through teamwork, working towards common goals, personal development, competition, and having fun at various skill levels and ages, with respect for the game, teammates, opponents, officials, and coaches as a cornerstone of its teaching philosophy.
The club is a non-profit corporation and is a club-sponsored program run by volunteers and paid coaches. Diablo Scorpion Lacrosse Club provides children of the San Ramon Valley School District in Danville, Alamo, and San Ramon, California, the opportunity to learn and play lacrosse, and works with San Ramon, Monte Vista, and Cal High School student athletes to generate interest. Players from the program generally end up playing lacrosse at Monte Vista, San Ramon Valley, De La Salle, Carondolet, California, and Dougherty Valley High Schools, and the head coaches for all these teams are active participants in the Scorpion program. Scorpion Lacrosse assumes a leadership role within the Northern California lacrosse community to promote reasonable, ethical, and sustainable growth of the sport.
The Diablo Scorpions are certified partners of the Premier Lacrosse League. The program became the largest in the NCJLA in 2003 with 14 teams, including 9 boys teams and 4 girls teams, and continues to be one of the largest and competitive lacrosse programs in Northern California. It is described as the largest program in the State of California based on US Lacrosse membership. In 2002, the Scorpions won their first NCJLA title, capturing the Pups title as the 6th grade team finished with a 14–1 record.
