Diablo Scorpion Youth Lacrosse offers Spring Lacrosse, Fall Ball, the Scorpions Clinic 2026, and special clinics for players in the off season from December through February. The program includes beginner to advanced levels of play for both boys and girls and emphasizes teaching the fundamentals of lacrosse, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a positive and supportive environment. It is also described as perfect for new players who want to try lacrosse without purchasing equipment, and Scoops players ages 3–6 are also invited to join the fun.
• Ages: 3–13 years old
• Schedule: Season runs from January to May, with a session on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 4–5 PM
• Price: Full refund of league fees less a $40 administration fee will be approved for any requests prior to November 15th. Full refund of league fees less a $40 administration fee for medical-related requests prior to December 15th. A 50% refund will be approved for non-medical requests from November 16th–November 30th. No refunds after December 15th. Full refund of league fees less a $20 administration fee will be approved for any requests prior to September 11th. A 50% refund will be approved for non-medical requests from September 12th–September 30th. No refunds after October 1st. No refunds for uniforms, gear bags, Scorpion spirit wear, or other merchandise sold by the club. US Lacrosse Membership fees are paid direct to US Lacrosse and are not refundable by Scorpion Lacrosse.
Diablo Scorpion Youth Lacrosse is a non-profit corporation and a club-sponsored program run by volunteers and paid coaches, with both girls and boys programs. The club has approximately 660 players in the program and 35 club teams ranging from Kindergarten through 8th grade. The team mascot is the Scorpion, team colors are orange and navy, and helmets and jerseys are orange with blue letters and white trim with blue shorts. No sticks or pads are needed, and the program is described as perfect for new players who want to try lacrosse without purchasing equipment. Participation requires being a resident of Alamo, Blackhawk, Danville, Diablo, or San Ramon, California, with exceptions if a child attends a SRVUSD school, subject to Board approval.
Diablo Scorpion Lacrosse Club was established in 2001. In its first year it had 150 players, in the second year 250 players, and in its 11th year it had approximately 660 players in the program. The mission of the Diablo Scorpion Lacrosse Club is to instill positive life lessons for all participants through teamwork, working towards common goals, personal development, competition, and having fun at various skill levels and age. The club states that it strives to provide the highest level of coaching instruction at each age level to ensure individual growth within the sport, and that respect for the game of lacrosse, teammates, opponents, officials, and coaches is the cornerstone of its teaching philosophy. Scorpion Lacrosse assumes a leadership role within the Northern California lacrosse community to promote reasonable, ethical, and sustainable growth of the sport.
The Diablo Scorpions are proud certified partners of the Premier Lacrosse League. The program is described as the largest in the NCJLA with 14 teams (9 boys and 4 girls) and as one of the largest and competitive lacrosse programs in Northern California. The club is also described as the largest program in the State of California based upon US Lacrosse membership.
