About

Five Starz Volleyball Club offers activities that include All Skills Camp, an All Skills Extended Day Option, Advanced Elite Training, a 11U–14U Club Volleyball Prep Program, Starz Academy, a Vertical Leap and Power Arm Swing Program, and a Volleyball Skill Development Series. Players take part in focused work on passing, serving, setting, hitting and defense, and blocking and defense, along with Girls Club Volleyball, Boys Club Volleyball, and Summer Camps that include supervised open gym, skill games and light competition, and crafts and team-building activities. Practices include instruction on volleyball skills, drills for improvement, and competitive play.

• Schedule: Summer camps in June with two weeks of All Skills Camp and related options, club seasons for girls from November through June and for boys from September through February, with additional fall and spring Starz Academy sessions

The Five Starz Volleyball Club is beginning its 25th year of continual operation and operates in conjunction with the USA Volleyball program. Girls Club Volleyball includes competitive USAV teams with Red, Black, and White team levels, and Boys Club Volleyball offers skill-based competitive teams with training year-round. Summer Camps for boys and girls offer beginner and advanced options, and all camp options are coed, with nets set at junior, women’s, and men’s heights based on enrollment. The club is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, and its website is powered by SportsEngine’s Sports Relationship Management software and is subject to the Five Starz Volleyball Club privacy policy.

The FSVC Head Trainer, Liz Colenzo, is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, and NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist with over 20 years of coaching and athletic development experience. The leadership team includes April Donald as Club Director and Head Coach for the 13/14U Program, Adri Rivas as Head Coach for the 13/14U Program, and Liz Colenzo as Head Coach for the 11/12U Program. Players come from Davis, Woodland, Vacaville, Dixon, Fairfield, many other smaller communities in Yolo and Solano Counties, and the Greater Sacramento Area. For camps, families are asked to send volleyball shoes, knee pads, a water bottle, a snack for the morning session, and a lunch if registered for the extended day, and snacks are provided in the Extended Day.
