Thunder Kung Fu Academy

Thunder Kung Fu Academy offers Kids Kung Fu, with Traditional Shaolin training for ages 4+ at all levels. The program includes warm-up exercises, basic drills, form training, and one-on-one time with instructors, and it also offers Tai Chi and Qigong, Dragon-Lion Dance, Weapons & Tumbling, and Teen & Adult Sanda Kickboxing.

Programs

• Kids Kung Fu — Ages 4+ · Traditional Shaolin; age-appropriate martial arts training; all levels; includes warm-up exercises, basic drills, form training, and one-on-one time with instructors.
• Adult Kung Fu — Ages 18+ · Authentic Shaolin Kung Fu and traditional Chinese martial arts; beginner to advanced; covers traditional hand forms, self-defense applications, Qi Na (joint locks), and the 18 Shaolin weapons.
• Teen & Adult Sanda Kickboxing — Ages 14+ · Chinese kickboxing with striking, clinch work, takedowns, punches, kicks, sweeps, and throws; all levels.
• Tai Chi & Qigong — All ages · Traditional Tai Chi and Qigong; all levels.
• Dragon-Lion Dance — All ages · Traditional cultural art form; all levels; students perform at community events, cultural festivals, and celebrations throughout the Bay Area.
• Weapons & Tumbling — Ages 8+ · Intermediate to advanced; covers traditional Chinese weapons forms including staff, sword, spear, and the 18 Shaolin weapons, plus aerial and acrobatic Kung Fu techniques.

About the provider

Thunder Kung Fu Academy was founded in June 2015. Its mission is to pass down authentic Chinese martial arts and culture to the next generation, and it is a member of the USA Wushu Kung Fu Federation. Students perform at community events, cultural festivals, and celebrations throughout the Bay Area.
