All Kids Academy Head Start

All Kids Academy Head Start offers Head Start for preschoolers and Early Head Start for infants and toddlers. It also offers Early Head Start Home-Based with weekly home visits and group socialization two times a month, and Early Head Start Center-Based for children 18 months to 3 years.

Programs

• Head Start for Preschoolers — 3-5 years · Five days a week, 8 hours a day; late August through June
• Early Head Start for Infant/Toddlers — Birth to 3 years · Five days a week, 8 hours per day; late August through June
• Early Head Start Home-Based — Birth to 3 years; pregnant women and their families · Weekly home visits; group socialization two times a month · Offered to children from birth to 3 years of age as well as pregnant women and their families.
• Early Head Start Center-Based — 18 months to 3 years · Five days a week, 8 hours per day; late August through June · Center-based option for children 18 months to 3 years of age.

About the provider

The program is led by Yolanda Perez, Executive Director. It is a non-profit, 501(C)(3) agency that is federally funded from the Office of Head Start, participates in QRIS, and receives quality enhancement funding from the San Diego Quality Preschool Initiative program. Its mission is closing the achievement gap by providing quality school readiness and comprehensive services for children and families in East County San Diego.

Applications for children under the age of 5 years are accepted year-round. Families must meet Federal Poverty Income Guidelines. An exception may be made for children with disabilities whose families are slightly over the income threshold. Children from foster families and families experiencing homelessness are automatically eligible with proper documentation submitted upon request. All families are welcome.
