Aunty Lynn’s Day Care Center Inc. is fully licensed by the state of California to care for both preschool and school aged children, with license numbers 370801624 and 370805864, and the rooms, activities, toys, and outdoor play equipment are developmentally suited to each age group. The program accepts state and county funded programs, includes lunches and snacks that are described as nutritionally balanced and accommodating to special dietary needs, and does not accept children after 11:00 a.m., closing promptly at 6:00 p.m. No more than six children are in each toddler class, preschoolers are grouped according to age and closely supervised at all times, even when napping, and younger children who are potty training participate in the Potty Pals Club, which is described as a potty-training program. At the end of the public-school day, older children have access to the Homework Club followed by supervised play and a free choice of activities, and during school breaks they follow a curriculum that includes art, music, walking trips, and water fun.

Aunty Lynn’s has been providing child care services to the El Cajon area since 1980 and describes itself as the longest running day care in the area, with a positive, personalized and caring atmosphere for children. The director and teachers work together to provide what they describe as the highest quality educational experience and the finest level of child care, and staff have completed the YMCA Live Well San Diego Program. The program states that it focuses on the whole child, offers age appropriate educational experiences under the guidance of skilled Early Childhood professionals, and recognizes the uniqueness of each child while providing positive encouragement for continued growth. Parents are told they may drop in anytime without advance notice, and parents provide diapers and wipes, a change of clothes for cubbies, and a small blanket that they launder at the end of the week, while the center supplies storage space, mats and sheets for rest time, and a blanket cabinet. Children at Aunty Lynn’s have described the teachers as “really NICE” and the program as “a lot of FUN.”
