El Cerrito Recreation Summer Camps offers activities such as group games, sports, exploration of nature, repeat after me songs, arts and crafts, swimming lessons, splash park time, field trips, fun fitness challenges, team sports, rECswim, hiking, crafting, nature exploration, and science experiments. Voyager Transitional Camp is described as an ideal first camp experience that will help Transitional Kindergarten or kindergarten students transition to elementary school in a fun, play-based environment, with a curriculum inspired by kindergarten teachers. Explorer Camp emphasizes unplugging and having a blast with friends and includes mini trips around town, field trips using charter buses, swimming, hiking, crafting, sports, nature exploration, and science experiments.

• Schedule: Voyager Transitional Camp AM runs in weekly sessions from 9:00 am–12:00 pm, and Adventure Camp and Discovery Camp run in weekly sessions from 8:00 am–6:00 pm, Monday–Friday.
• Price: Voyager Transitional Camp AM is $193.00–$242.00 per week, Adventure Camp is $391.00–$489.00 per week, and Discovery Camp is $427.00–$534.00 per week.
Voyager campers adjust to larger group sizes, develop independence from their camp leaders, work on fine motor skills through arts and crafts, and learn to follow safety instructions in more open environments. Voyager campers take part in repeat after me songs, fundamental group games and sports, and exploration of nature that encompasses the culture of El Cerrito, and all children enrolling in Voyager Camp must be toilet trained. For Voyager Transitional Camp, sunscreen should be applied at home before camp, and campers should bring a shirt that covers the shoulders, a hat, athletic shoes, and a morning snack that is nut free and does not require refrigeration.
Adventure Camp provides free swimming lessons and splash park time every Tuesday and Thursday from weeks 2–9 and includes a walk from the Harding Clubhouse to the Swim Center. On the first day of Adventure Camp, campers receive a dry-wick shirt that is described as perfect for wearing as a rash guard during water activities. Discovery Camp activities are described as keeping young minds active and engaged, and most weeks of Discovery Camp include a field trip. Discovery Camp provides free swimming lessons and goes to the pool for rECswim and the splash park every Monday and Wednesday from weeks 2–9, and on the first day of Discovery Camp, campers receive a special dry-wick shirt that is described as perfect for wearing as a rash guard on swim days.
