About the provider
MAPS says its mission is to build a community that offers children a guided path to develop social skills and friendships, improve quality of life, and support families so they may better contribute and participate in the world. Its community involvement includes child volunteers, siblings of children served by MAPS, classmates, neighborhood friends, children from outside the MAPS community, and a partnership with Hands 4 Hope.
Programs are evidence based and scientifically proven therapies. The philosophy states that all children, regardless of diagnosis, have gifts to offer and challenges to meet. The site also references respectful values, naturalistic environments, and parent participation in expanding the community.
