Montessori Manor Preschool and Kindergarten offers activities in practical life experiences, sensory awareness, mathematics, language, geography, creative arts, science, movement, and other sensorial experiences. Instruction is based on the philosophy and method of Dr. Maria Montessori, and children use Montessori materials that are inherently logical and aesthetically pleasing. The program uses a carefully prepared, child-oriented environment where materials are constantly rotated, and each child is taught individually.

The director, Leslie Dillon, holds a Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education from San Diego State University and a Montessori Teaching credential from Pamela Koby. The program’s mission states that each child has a natural curiosity and desire to learn, and that Montessori Manor awakens that desire and allows children to experience the excitement of learning with the freedom to progress at their own pace. The school has been awarded “Best Montessori School” locally and was recently given El Dorado Hills' “Best Montessori School Award” in the local press. One parent, Greg Scott, reports that his daughter has been attending Montessori Manor for almost two years, that he and his family have been delighted by her development, and that she is flourishing in the program and on her way to a lifelong love of learning.
