About the provider

Heather Williams founded Suzuki Piano Academy. She graduated from BYU with a B.A. in Piano, received Suzuki Piano Level 1 Certification, is certified in Suzuki Piano Levels 2-6, and trained as a Music Together teacher. The program says it has been in business for over 22 years.

The Suzuki method emphasizes repetition, memorization, observation and imitation, parent involvement, and learning at the child's pace. It is described as suitable for every child, including those with special challenges. The academy states it does not screen applicants for ability upon entrance.
