About

Elite Studio of Dance offers dance training that includes summer camp, ballet summer intensives, pre-pointe and pointe training, and competitive dance teams called the Production Company. Dancers learn choreography from multiple choreographers, take works to dance competitions locally and around the state, and participate in a year-end “Spotlight” dance recital with a separate dress rehearsal and recital picture day.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Summer Camp Pop Star Week for ages 5–10 runs Monday through Friday, July 6–10, from 9 am to 1 pm; Summer Ballet Intensives run in four-day sessions in July with morning and early afternoon hours, and the “Spotlight” Dance Recital and related rehearsals and picture days take place in June 2026.
• Price: Summer Ballet Intensives range from $200–$300 per four-day week, with daily rates from $60–$85 depending on level and whether the dancer is en pointe.

Summer Ballet Intensives are taught by Ms. Maia and Mr. Michael, and focus on ballet history, variations, foundational technique, and preparation for pointe work and advancing the technique and artistry of dancers already en pointe. The Production Company competitive teams require 4–10 hours of dance per week plus weekend rehearsals, depending on the dancer’s age, and students learn choreography from many different excelling artists, including well-known guest artists such as Cindy Salgado, Jess Hendricks, Chris Jacobsen, Sean Kaminski, Brittany Parks, Cheryl Copeland, Nicole Hogg, Jake Mcauley, Trevor Takemoto, Reed Tankersely, Melody Lacayanga, and Danny Lawn. Many dancers from Elite Studio of Dance have gone on to attend college dance programs at UC Santa Barbara, Butler University, University of Arizona, CSU Fullerton, CSU Long Beach, UC Irvine, UCLA, USC, and Fordham University.

The studio’s mission states that it offers excellent training and great opportunities to dancers of all ages in the area, with a well-rounded dance education from fundamentals through advanced movement. According to its mission, Elite Studio of Dance aims for excellent training in dance technique that meets the physical, social, and emotional needs of students, and its everyday goal is to provide the finest dance instruction and a positive environment in which students may grow both as dancers and as individuals throughout their training. The studio describes its staff as highly trained and notes that students who train there experience the arts through activities such as competitions both locally and around the state and the year-end “Spotlight” performance.
