Family Karate's Life Dojo states its mission as “Growing to face Challenges with Courage, and Others with Kindness.” The program has been strengthening families for over 50 years. It teaches all ages, all levels of experience, and almost all levels of special support needs, and it offers learning in person as well as online anywhere and on-demand anytime. The program includes book report suggestions in martial arts and personal growth and has a connection to the World Martial Arts Ranking Association (WMARA), including World Martial Arts Ranking Association Black Belt Exam and Graduation and World Martial Arts Ranking Association 2026 Exam Preparation.

Family Karate's Life Dojo lists “Trusted by Families” and “Strength Safety Self Leadership” among its unique features. The Black Belt Fitness Test includes specified events and repetitions for men and women, and candidates may request substitutions for official Fitness Test events due to medical necessity. The program notes support for families who are struggling, as well as charity fundraising and community involvement.

Parents describe long-term participation and family involvement in their testimonials. One family reports two children earning Black Belts at Life Dojo and calls it “the most valuable and impactful experience of their lives,” noting growth in confidence and character. Another parent shares that a 17-year-old has been learning there for 11 years and mentions support through major life challenges. A parent highlights live, online, and on-demand classes, support for families who are struggling, charity fundraising, community involvement, and parents training with their children, and describes multiple generations of their family training there. Other parents mention observing the team’s patience and commitment to excellence with each student, a child starting in first grade and continuing into high school, a third generation of one family learning there, and specific home impacts such as a child responding to reminders about the “Number One Club” and siblings showing nurturing behavior.
