About
Summer Horse Camp includes daily horseback riding and hands-on activities such as grooming, saddling, bridling, and basic riding instruction. Campers learn about proper care and horsemanship, including health care for horses, physical fitness, proper nutrition, dental care, hoof care, transportation of horses, grooming, and tack care, with demonstrations that match each day’s topic. Campers share a horse for the week, can try riding and driving a horse hooked to a cart, practice taking a horse’s temperature, and end each day with a cool down swim in the pool.
