Tech Trek STEM Camp is a week-long summer camp where participants work with robotics, engineering, and other sciences. During the camp, they live in dorms and attend workshops during the day.

The camp is an AAUW California program for rising eighth grade girls. Students are recommended by their teachers as seventh graders and go through a rigorous application process. AAUW members often serve as chaperones. The Fallbrook, California branch of the American Association of University Women, founded in 1946, sponsors several Fallbrook participants each year to attend the camp at UCSD, with donations from members, spouses, and the community supporting this sponsorship. The organization’s membership includes business women, artists, academics, educators, scientists, public servants, healthcare professionals, parents, and grandparents who come together to advocate for gender equity through education and advocacy.
