Mendocino Coast Recreation & Park District Youth Programs offers activities that include Hoopstars basketball clinic, JR NBA Coast Youth Basketball League, futsal, basketball, beginner wrestling, cheer with Isabel, a Creative Movement program, and Boxing & Kickboxing. The programs also run Baby & Me Class for parents or guardians with infants ages 3–23 months, and there are additional offerings such as Skate Parties, Adult Dance Classes with Wade, and Ping Pong for adults.

The Mendocino Coast Recreation and Park District (MCRPD) was formed in 1973. Its mission is to provide opportunities on the Mendocino Coast that promote physical and mental well-being for everyone, through active play, community enrichment, programs and events. MCRPD is disability friendly and works with community partners that include Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, C.V. Starr Community Center, and Fort Bragg Cubs Football & Cheer. The Boxing & Kickboxing instructor is a retired professional boxer named Julie Ann. MCRPD invites families to host events at the Old Rec Gym on weekends, choosing from Skate Parties, futsal, basketball, or a custom party experience. The Creative Movement program is described as a fun, energetic class that lets kids explore rhythm, movement, and creativity in a supportive environment, and the JR NBA Coast Youth Basketball League is described as offering an inclusive and fun environment where players develop teamwork, confidence, and basketball fundamentals. Hoopstars is aimed at a younger age group in kindergarten through fifth grade and is a basketball clinic that focuses on the fundamentals of basketball, teamwork, and the basic principles of how basketball is played.
