About

Coach Beez Private Basketball Coaching offers private basketball coaching, private shooting coaching, and basketball training. The program works with players on individual skills through one-on-one instruction with Coach Beez.

• Ages: 6–18 years old

Matt Beeuwsaert (a.k.a. Coach Beez) leads the program. He was a Scholastic, Parade, and McDonald’s All-American out of Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, an All-Orange County Player of the Year, All-Angelus League MVP, CIF Player of the Year, and an integral part and Team Captain of Gary McKnight’s first CIF Championship team. He was voted by the O.C. Register as one of the top 25 high school players of all time to come out of Orange County and went on to play at Notre Dame under Coach Digger Phelps and at U.C. Berkeley under Coach Lou Campanelli, where he was awarded PAC-10 Player of the Week after a game against UCLA with 29 points, 15 rebounds, and 7 assists. He then played professional basketball in Europe for 10 years, winning six championships with Racing Mechelen and Spirou Charleroi. Coach Beez offers comprehensive, year-round basketball training and serves players from all over Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego, and he works as a private shooting coach and private basketball coach for youth and adults across Southern California.

Coach Beez helps players of all ages and skill levels become more consistent shooters. His training includes access to THE 80 SHOT CLUB, which tracks players who make the most baskets out of 80 two-point shots, the most out of 40 three-point shots, and the most free throws in a row among the top 14 players he trains.

Parents and players have shared detailed feedback about his coaching. Doug Collins, ESPN NBA analyst and former NBA player and coach, stated that Coach Beez is “teaching the game the right way, so that as you get bigger and stronger…you take those skills that you have developed, and now you’re ready to be something special.” One high school player, Shanna Brown of Aliso Niguel, said, “He helped me a lot, getting my form right.” Multiple parents have reported changes in their children’s roles and performance on their school teams, including awards such as “Most Improved Player” and “Coaches Award,” and specific scoring improvements like a 12-year-old scoring 19 points in a single game after several sessions. Another player, Antoine, reported scoring 27 points with six three-pointers in a tournament championship and credited his improved shooting to what he learned from Coach Beez.
