Hudson Dance Academy

Hudson Dance Academy offers classes in ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary, as well as an adult hip hop exercise class. The program includes an HDA Competition Team, an HDA Annual Summer Intensive, and performances such as the 13th Annual June Recital and the HDA June Recital 2026 with a production of Encanto. Classes are available for tiny tots, junior dancers, teens, and adults in the listed dance styles.

Tiny tots aged 2.5 to 5 years can take ballet, tap, and hip hop classes. Children aged 6–11 at the Junior level can take ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical. Teen and adult students aged 12–18 can take ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and hip hop, and there is also an adult hip hop exercise class.

Hudson Dance Academy states that it trains dancers from beginning to professional level, aged 2.5 to adult, and that it offers options for once-a-week classes, competition, or professional-level training. The program states that it offers small class sizes so that each student gets attention, and that it values each student and tasks itself with making each student the best they can be. The mission includes providing an environment where all students are valued, there is a high level of instruction, and students have the opportunity to pursue a classical or commercial dance path, with the phrase “EXERCISING THE MIND, CHALLENGING THE BODY, BUILDING SELF ESTEEM.”

Owner and Artistic Director Tiffany Hudson-Specht holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Dance Performance and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University, and she has been the director and owner of one of the most successful dance studios in Orange County for over 12 years. Office Manager Wendy Hudson and Hip Hop Director Marissa Skates are part of the leadership team. Instructor Christine Nunez earned her Associate of Arts degree in Dance with honors from Orange Coast College.

In 2020, 2022, and 2023, Hudson Dance Academy won Best of Fountain Valley for education. The studio has also received the “Studio of Excellence” award from competitions several years in a row.
