JMAC Karate offers karate and self-defense training that includes forms, fighting, and preparation for karate competitions. Classes cover specific karate events such as Kata and Kumite, and the program also provides Live Online Training options. JMAC Karate was established in the Spring of 2000. Since then, JMAC Karate has served the local community by building the body and minds of its students. The program is connected with a So Cal Karate Ranked Event. Karate at JMAC Karate is described as “A Way of Life,” and it is presented as a Japanese martial art that focuses on defense as well as offensive techniques, with common themes of forms, fighting, and self-defense. Karate-Do practitioners in this setting use technical repetition, conditioning, in-depth curriculum study, and meditation. Karate is also practiced here as a world-wide sport, where athletes participating in karate competitions carry honor, respect, and discipline in their performances, especially in the main events of Kata and Kumite.
