JMAC Karate

JMAC Karate offers karate and self-defense training that includes forms, fighting, and preparation for karate competitions. Classes cover specific karate elements such as Kata and Kumite, with instruction in both defensive techniques like blocks, escapes, releases, sweeps, takedowns, and counterattacks, and offensive techniques like punches, kicks, chops, elbows, and knees. The program also offers Live Online Training, including a FREE trial class and a free 30 minutes introduction session via Live Online Training.

JMAC Karate was established in the spring of 2000. Since its inception, JMAC Karate has served the local community by building the body and minds of its students. The program is identified as a So Cal Karate Ranked Event. Karate at JMAC Karate is presented as a Japanese martial art that focuses on defense as well as offensive techniques and is also practiced as a worldwide sport, with athletes participating in karate competitions that include Kata and Kumite. The program states that karate benefits can include increased self-confidence, increased strength and flexibility, improved athleticism, help with setting and achieving goals, better performance at work and school, help with weight control, improved mood, better sleep, a positive social environment, and reduced stress and anxiety.
