About
Nova Swim School offers Learn-to-Swim Lessons, Group Lessons, Private Lessons, Parent/Tot Classes, a Pre-Competitive Swim Program, a Competitive Team, and "Adult" Private Lessons. Its Learn-to-Swim Lessons use the award-winning "Smart Fish" curriculum and focus on water survival skills and championship stroke technique. Group Lessons are organized by ability and age, last 25 to 30 minutes, and have no more than 4 students per teacher.
Programs
- Learn-to-Swim Lessons — Starting with infants as young as 2 months; for all ages · Year-round; mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends, 6 days per week at most pools · Uses the award-winning “Smart Fish” curriculum; emphasizes water survival skills progressing into championship stroke technique.
- Pre-Competitive Swim Program — For ages 5 through teens
- Competitive Team — All ages and abilities · Competitive swim team offering a wide range of swim programs.
- Group Lessons — Ages 3 and older · Organized by ability and age; each class lasts 25 to 30 minutes with no more than 4 students per teacher.
- Private Lessons — Infants as young as 2 months · For nervous individuals or those who prefer one-on-one attention; emphasizes effective water survival skills that progress into championship stroke techniques.
- "Adult" Private Lessons — Adults and young adults · Can be customized to the individual’s needs, including learning the basics or perfecting stroke technique.
- Parent/Tot Classes — 0-2 years · A mild approach to learning to swim.
- Star Club — Ages 5 through teens · Pre-Competitive Swim Program level; 30-minute or 45-minute classes; once or twice per week; session dates are listed separately.
- Select — Ages 5 through teens · Pre-Competitive Swim Program level; 60-minute classes; once or twice per week; session dates are listed separately.

About the provider
The Novaquatics Swim Program was established in 1980, and Nova Swim School has served the Orange County community since joining the Novaquatics Swim Team in 2000. The school is described as providing a safe, friendly, and fun swimming environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities. It has NOVA-certified instructors and is associated with the award-winning "Smart Fish" curriculum.
Group classes are available for ages 3 and older; private lessons are available for infants as young as 2 months; evaluations are used to determine program fit; no more than 4 students per teacher in group lessons; pre-competitive enrollment requires a skills evaluation.
