Recruitment occurs during September, and club meetings start on September 26 and 27, 2026. The Watsonville Club meets Saturdays from 1 to 4 pm, and the Santa Cruz Club meets Sundays from 1 to 4 pm. The Hephaestus Robotics Team has first place in the MATE ROV World in 25-26 and third place in 22-23, 23-24, and 24-25. The team won first place in the Ranger Class at the 2026 MATE Monterey Bay Regional ROV Competition on April 25 and advanced to the 2026 MATE ROV World Championship in St. John's, Canada, from June 25-27.
