American Swim Academy offers swim lessons that include AQUAbabies classes, preschool swim lessons, beginner swim lessons, intermediate and advanced swim lessons, young adult swim classes, adult swim classes, stroke training, elite swim programs, and a Water Adaptation Program. Classes are taught by certified instructors in indoor, heated pools and are offered seven days a week. The program includes consistent skill progression with clear instruction and repetition, with small class ratios such as many beginner and preschool classes with a 2:1 ratio and AQUAbabies levels with a 4:1 ratio.

• Price: Fremont Swim Lesson Pricing: (1) 30-minute class per week, ratio 2:1: $52; (1) 30-minute class per week, ratio 3:1/4:1: $50; (1) 30-minute class per week, private class (PS–BR)/(IM–ST): $104/$150; Elite Classes: $28; Annual Membership Fee: $50 (2nd swimmer: $50, 3rd swimmer: $25, 4+ swimmers: membership fee waived); $50 Quarterly Administrative Fee for SDP swimmers; non-refundable convenience fee of 2% for debit cards, 3% for credit cards, and $0 for virtual checks.
American Swim Academy has been teaching the Bay Area to swim since 1973 and is still owned and operated by the Alberti family. It operates five indoor swim instruction facilities in Fremont, Newark, Livermore, Dublin, and Walnut Creek, all with indoor, heated pools and a warm indoor pool heated to 92°. The mission of American Swim Academy is to provide high-quality swim instruction with unsurpassed member service, with a goal to promote water safety, comfort, and stroke technique for all ages and abilities, and with safety as the first and most important priority.
The Fremont leadership team includes Co-Directors Marissa and Johanna; Assistant Directors Justin, Nadeem, and Lucy; Senior Operations Managers Julie, Angelina, and Benny; Operations Managers Jessica, Bella, and Pedro; Member Service Director Diego; and Assistant Member Service Director Chelsea. Class ratios include 2:1 for Preschool Levels (PSP, PS1–4, AP1–2) and Beginner Levels (B1–B4, BR), 3:1 for Intermediate, Intermediate Advanced, and Advanced Levels and for Advanced Young Adult and Adult Levels, and 4:1 for Stroke Training and Stroke Training Young Adult Levels and for AQUAbabies Levels. A free trial swim class is available for new and first-time swimmers, based on availability, not combinable with other offers, with terms and restrictions applying.
