About
Fremont Youth Volleyball offers youth volleyball through an instructional league, Advanced Juniors, camps, and clinics. The program includes co-ed divisions and organized team instruction led by a Clinician (Head Volleyball Coach). Players take part in practices and games that follow a set weekly schedule.
• Ages: 7–15 years old
• Schedule: Meets Wednesdays 6:00 PM–7:00 PM and Saturdays 9:00 AM–10:00 AM from April 1, 2026 to May 30, 2026
• Price: Early Registration: $150 due by 12/01/25; Regular Registration: $175 until 03/01/26; Late Registration: $200 until 04/01/26
The league is directed by a Clinician (Head Volleyball Coach) who organizes, instructs, supervises, and maintains volunteer coaches in the instruction of each team, and this Clinician has experience playing and/or coaching volleyball at the high school, club, college, or higher level. The program’s mission statement is “Playing volleyball in a fun, safe environment nationwide.” Instructional leagues are open to all children ages 7–15 who want to learn and play volleyball, and interest and enthusiasm for volleyball are the only requirements for playing with USYVL.
Fremont Youth Volleyball is described as one of the fastest-growing youth volleyball programs in Fremont and is a co-ed league divided into four divisions: ages 7–8, 9–10, 11–12, and 13–15, with divisions determined by the child’s age on November 1, 2026. Registration includes a t-shirt and a medal, and three of the last five Saturdays may run 2 hours and may be held at another nearby USYVL location to accommodate inter-site games. The goal of the Advanced Juniors program is to create a pathway for players to advance to a higher level of competition such as high school or club volleyball. The camps focus on skill development, participation, and fun, and the clinics are for players wanting to advance to a higher level of competition such as high school or club volleyball.
USYVL is fueled by volunteers and relies on dedicated parents to make each season a success, and parents can participate as a Coach or Assistant Coach with USYVL. Players should bring their own volleyball, and the program recommends the Molten VBU12 for divisions 7–8, 9–10, and 11–12 or the IVU-BLU for division 13–15 because they are good quality, official size volleyballs with a soft cover; if players do not own one, it can be purchased at www.usyvl.org/store. The hours of operation for administrative support are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with Saturday and Sunday closed.
