HoopSphere

HoopSphere offers skills training for ages 417, with classes covering the fundamentals, structured drills, game-based learning, and a weekly motivational class. Players are grouped by age and skill level. The program also includes an in-house league and prep-league, competitive travel teams in a year-round AAU program, Holiday & Summer Camps, specialty clinics, focused skills training in ball handling, shooting, footwork, and game awareness, and elite sessions with competitive reps, game situations, high-level decision-making, and player development.

About the provider

HoopSphere was founded by Alex Hariz and Venkat Narasimhan. The program says basketball is a mirror and metaphor for life and lists lessons such as winning with grace, bouncing back from a difficult loss, supporting a struggling teammate, leading boldly and bravely, and not giving up in the face of adversity. It is described as a staple in the Fremont basketball community, with many players going on to make their middle school and high school teams.
