HoopSphere

HoopSphere offers basketball skills training that includes skills training classes, an academy league, in-house league and instructional gameplay, AAU competitive travel teams, holiday and summer camps, specialty clinics, and skill-specific specialty workshops. The program includes year-round basketball programs for all skill levels, with available all-week skills training classes covering the fundamentals, an Academy League available on weekends, a year-round AAU program, week-long and single-day holiday and summer camps, and skill-specific specialty workshops. The program features passionate coaches, high-energy classes, a focus on real skill development, and an emphasis on growth in confidence, character, and game-time performance on and off the court.

HoopSphere was founded by Alex Hariz and Venkat Narasimhan. Its mission states that basketball is viewed as a mirror and metaphor for life, highlighting experiences such as winning with grace, handling difficult losses and bouncing back, supporting a struggling teammate, leading boldly and bravely, and not giving up in the face of adversity. The mission also states that participants learn they cannot win without a team and that they must be mentally and physically fit to persevere, with a vision to inspire many future generations to be the best they can be in all aspects of life through lessons learned on the basketball court. HoopSphere is described as a family and a community.
