Mad Science of The Bay Area

Mad Science of The Bay Area offers hands-on science programs that include after-school programs, birthday parties, in-school programs, assemblies and shows, in-class field trips and workshops, science nights and fun stations, school break and winter camps, and preschool programs. Children take part in activities such as chemical reaction experiments, rocket launches, hovercraft rides, cotton candy making, interactive science fun stations, stage shows, and workshops that cover topics like electricity, magnetism, optics, and biology.

Mad Science was founded in 1985 in Montreal, Canada, by brothers Ariel and Ron Shlien and has been in business for over 30 years. It has grown into a global enrichment company with over 150 locations in more than 20 countries and a vision that, as a leading children’s science enrichment provider, every year 5 million children experience Mad Science. Its stated mission is to inspire children through science, sparking lifelong imagination and curiosity. Mad Science of The Bay Area partners with most of the cities in the Bay Area, and its assemblies, stage shows, workshops, and fun stations are described as curriculum correlated to California state and provincial standards, hassle-free, adaptable, and suitable for events such as library programs, company parties, and community center events.
