Mad Science of The Bay Area offers after-school programs, summer camps, birthday parties, workshops, special events, in-school programs, assemblies and shows, in-class field trips and workshops, science nights and fun-stations, programs for organizations, corporates, and day cares, and preschool programs. After-school programs include one 1-hour class each week for 8 weeks, and preschool activities include one 45-minute class each week for 8 weeks; sessions can be customized to 6-12 weeks. Summer camps offer full-day and half-day experiences, and after-school programs include an educational science-themed take-home toy every class while camps include take-home kits every day.

Mad Science was founded in 1985 in Montreal, Canada, and is now a global enrichment company. Its mission is to inspire children through science, sparking lifelong imagination and curiosity. The company is described as a leading science enrichment provider with over 150 locations in over 20 countries, and its instructors are well-trained. Its curriculum is correlated to California state and provincial standards for in-class field trips and workshops.

Refunds are available if a child is withdrawn prior to the second week of the program, with a $25.00 processing fee. Withdrawal after the first week is not subject to a refund. Refunds are not issued for classes missed. Payment is required at registration. Class cancellations follow the inclement weather and school closure policy of the school district; a make-up class may be scheduled if the cancelled class is at least one week before the next program.
