Bintang Badminton Classes & Summer Camp offers badminton classes, summer camp sessions, and team training. The program takes place at a Bintang Badminton club that includes badminton and pickleball courts. All Bintang clubs offer classes and team training for kids and adults of all ages and levels year round.
• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Summer camp is offered from June through August. Fremont location hours are Monday–Friday 10:00am–11:00pm, Saturday 8:00am–10:00pm, and Sunday 8:00am–9:00pm.
• Price: Soft Opening drop-in only $15 weekday lunch session, $17 weeknights and weekends, with extra discounts available at the door.
Bintang Badminton started in December of 2001, and in January of 2004 the club moved to a larger warehouse that could fit eleven courts. Bintang Badminton now offers six locations within the Bay Area in Burlingame, Campbell, Dublin, Fremont, San Carlos, and Santa Clara. The Fremont location is described as the biggest badminton gym in the world, with 54 badminton courts and 6 pickleball courts, and all six locations allow memberships, drop-in admissions, and court reservations.
Bintang Badminton was founded on the principles of honesty, hard work, trust, and a passion for badminton, and it has a zero-tolerance policy against misconduct of any kind or behavior that runs counter to its founding principles or that puts any of its customers or students at risk. As of July 25, 2023, Coach Ricel Almirola has been promoted as Head Coach and Brian Lam as the Chief Operating Officer. Bintang Badminton has promoted the sport of badminton within the community and hopes to continue doing so.
Team Bintang achieved the best results of any team at the 2024 NorCal Open Regional Championships (November 9–11, 2024), winning the most gold, silver, and bronze medals and overall medals. Notable results included all four semi-finalists in U17 boys singles being from Bintang, gold medals in U17 boys singles and U17 girls singles, and two players each winning two gold medals.
