About

Camp Fresno Youth offers themed sessions where campers hike, play, explore, and take part in activities such as campfire skits, bug safaris, wildlife games, and team quests. Depending on the session, campers may follow mystery tracks, build mini habitats, create nature mandalas, compare leaves and soil, test simple science experiments, and start a shared “Explorer Notebook” of drawings, questions, and discoveries. Other activities across sessions include short guided hikes, navigation challenges and a navigation course using maps, compasses, and constellations, sunrise walks, Animal Olympics, building sundials, learning star patterns, creating their own constellation legends, sensory “sit spots,” late-night campfire circles, tracking local wildlife, collecting real data, and testing ideas for future nature- and conservation-focused teen sessions.
