The Tai Chi Center of Fresno is a nonprofit organization with more than 50 years of teaching tradition in the art of Tai Chi Chuan (taijiquan, 太極拳). The program focuses on Form, Philosophy, and Function and is dedicated to sharing the Yang Style T’ai Chi Ch’uan in 37 Movements, as adapted by Prof. Cheng Man-ching from the traditional Yang Style Long Form of Tai Chi Chuan. Volunteer instructors are certified lineage holders of Tai Chi Chuan and teach out of a deep personal belief in its benefits. The center states that all winter classes are full and that pre-registration is required for classes. The key factors for anyone to practice Tai Chi Chuan are the ability to stand, to exercise, and to have interest, focus, and engagement.

The Tai Chi Center of Fresno is dedicated to preserving and teaching the art of Tai Chi Chuan in both theory and practice for physical well-being and martial skill. It strives to educate and inspire awareness and appreciation for this discipline through public demonstrations at fairs, festivals, and community events, and its goal is to cultivate a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment where students of all backgrounds and ages can experience Tai Chi Chuan.
