West Garden Grove Youth Baseball is a youth baseball program where kids play baseball under PONY Baseball rules. The program offers both Spring and Fall baseball seasons and uses age-based divisions such as Shetland, Pinto, Foal, Mustang, Bronco, and Pony.
• Ages: 2–14 years old
• Schedule: Spring season runs from mid-February to mid-May, and Fall season runs from late August to mid-November
West Garden Grove Youth Baseball promotes growth in baseball skills at all levels, good sportsmanship, honesty, respect, loyalty, and a sense of teamwork through a positive competitive environment so youth may become strong, well-adjusted members of the community. The program is an all-volunteer organization that serves Garden Grove and all of Orange County. It is a member of Protect Our Nation's Youth (PONY) Baseball and plays by PONY rules, which follow MLB rules by allowing lead-offs and stealing starting at age 9 with field dimensions that are sized for youth players. Games are played at Bell Intermediate School using multiple fields designated for different divisions, including Shetland, Pinto, Foal, Mustang, Bronco, and Pony. The program lists a Snack Shack phone number at 714-894-3015, which is a direct line used on game days, and a Snack Shack email contact.
