Gilroy Center for the Arts – Kids After School & Art/Drama Classes offers Kids After School Classes on Thursdays and drama classes for children age 5 and above. The program takes place within a broader arts setting that includes art classes for children and adults, theater, and drama. The Gilroy Arts Alliance publicizes local art events and arts-related policies and issues through email newsletters, raises funds to support visual and performing arts groups, artists’ scholarships, and arts education in schools, and supports students who are completing community service requirements. Proud sponsors include Lowes, Gilroy Garlic Festival, The Neon Exchange, and Gilroy Foundation, whose funding supports classes for young emerging artists to prepare their artwork for exhibit. The Annual Black History Month Cultural Exhibit at the Center will celebrate 10 years in February 2024.
