Glendale Bright Start Preschool Program

Glendale Bright Start Preschool Program includes early literacy, language, math, and computer use, along with social skills and teaching classroom routine. Children take part in potty training, music and dance hour, creative and art hour, sensory activities, outside play hour with play structures, circle time, art and crafts time, and learning center time. The program also offers after and before school care that includes daily homework with practice and assistance by the teachers.

The California's Glendale Bright Start Preschool Program is a child development program whose educational philosophy states social competency as the primary goal for all children. According to the program, social competency in children builds self-esteem and the ability to succeed. The program states that children are provided with learning opportunities that challenge their growth and development, using a consistent, predictable sequence of events that gives children a sense of control over what happens next and a stable and secure psychological environment within which they are free to make choices and initiate activities. The Glendale Bright Start Preschool High Scope Curriculum for preschoolers is described as child centered, promotes active learning, and teaches children to make their own choices.
