Scouting Programs – Verdugo Hills Council, Scouting America offers activities such as camping, aquatics, hiking, shooting an arrow, and transforming a block of wood into a race car. Older participants take part in high adventure outdoor activities and challenging real-world projects, along with other exciting activities and one-on-one mentorship. The program includes Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Exploring.

Scouting Programs – Verdugo Hills Council, Scouting America is part of Scouting America, which is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent value-based youth development organizations. Scouting America provides several programs for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship and develops personal fitness. For more than a century, the program has combined educational activities and lifelong values with fun. Scouting America's goal is to train youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in outdoor activities, educational programs, and, at older age levels, career-oriented programs in partnership with community organizations. For younger members, the Scout method is part of the program to instill typical Scouting values such as trustworthiness, good citizenship, and outdoor skills. Cub Scouts is the program for boys and girls ages 5 to 10 years old, Scouts BSA is for young men and women ages 11 to 17 years of age, Venturing is a co-ed program for youth ages 14 to 21 years old, and Exploring is a career development program for young people ages 14 to 21 that provides exciting activities and one-on-one mentorship for youth looking to discover their future. The Verdugo Hills Council provides values-based programs to more than 1,300 young men and women in the Glendale, Burbank, Sun Valley, Sunland, Tujunga, La Crescenta, Montrose, Eagle Rock, and Highland Park communities of Los Angeles County. Camp Verdugo Oaks is VHC's campground in the Angeles National Forest, and the Verdugo Hills Council Meeting Room is open to Scouting and other uses for committee meetings, training sessions, or networking events.
