Red Dragon Karate After School Martial Arts includes martial arts training, self-defense, anti-bullying techniques, and stranger awareness. The program also offers charity events, anti bully clinics, women’s empowerment training, birthday parties, pizza parties, and movie nights. Red Dragon Karate is a family owned and operated business that has been serving families for over 50 years and was founded in 1965. The program uses an original mixed martial art style known as the Red Dragon style of martial arts, which is considered the original “Mixed Martial Art.” It offers age specific programs with a detailed curriculum centered around children’s specific development stages and focuses on character-based life skills including self-discipline, self control, and self esteem. Red Dragon Karate states that martial arts training benefits every age group, from younger kids to adults, and that members have seen improvements in as little as 3 days. The program provides a positive, safe, and clean environment with safety of students as the primary concern, always teaches self defense above self offense, instills values of respect, discipline, confidence and self-reliance, and provides an atmosphere of unity that extends to each family and the community.
All instructors are trained and certified to teach by the American Karate Kung Fu Federation (AKKF). The leadership team includes After School Martial Arts owner Bryanne Knight; Glendora West – Headquarters owners Shihan Chris Casamassa and Sensei Shelly Debin Toland; and Glendora owner Sensei Jack Zych. The founder and Grand Master is Shi-han Sensei Louis Casamassa, a 10th degree black belt and founder of the American Karate Kung Fu Federation (A.K.K.F.). Louis D. Casamassa is a former U.S. Marine Corp military police officer and 10th degree black belt.
