Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods – Stewardship & Community Education Programs offers activities such as docent-led and self-guided Tidepool Education Programs, small group tours focused on Pond Farm Pottery and Marguerite Wildenhain, and a Pond Farm Pottery Tour. The program also includes Yoga in the Redwoods with Deneene, the Easy Sonoma Coast May Wildflower Walk with Dr. Laura Morgan, and Redwoods Reset – A Contemplative Forest Immersion. Additional offerings include music and performance events such as An Afternoon with the Buckeye Boys Bluegrass, Hardly Strictly Irish at the Forest Theater, the Lee Vandeveer Band at the Forest Theater, Sonoma County Pomo Dancers – Ocean Dance, Storytime with the Russian River Sisters, and AromaSoma, Angie, and Lee at the Forest Theater, as well as a Volunteer Appreciation Barbecue and a session with Victoria Wagner titled Getting to Know Your Chainsaw, Pondering Large Scale Sculpture.

Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods is a nonprofit partner to California State Parks that supports education, conservation, and community engagement across landscapes including historic Pond Farm Pottery, Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, Austin Creek Recreation Area, and Sonoma Coast State Park. The organization’s mission is to protect the natural and cultural resources of Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve, Austin Creek State Recreation Area, and Sonoma Coast State Park through volunteerism, environmental education, and stewardship for generations to come. The organization promotes this mission with the help of volunteers by providing park visitors of all ages with a variety of programs and opportunities to experience and explore these parks. The leadership team includes Executive Director Annie Cresswell, Program Director Lisa Baiter, Program Assistant Alyse Anderson, Volunteer and Fundraising Coordinator Bette Meritt, Retail Coordinator Nik Szecsey, Administrative and Marketing staff member Leslie Carrow, Field Operations Manager Dave Hall, Senior Service Aide Carlos Amador, Service Aides Ashley Hamlett, Aiden Louis, and Andy Krick, and California State Parks staff Bill Maslach (District Superintendent), Amelia Schall (District Volunteer Coordinator), and Tracy Weisberg (Supervising State Park Ranger and Cooperating Association Liaison). The organization also offers board and committee service opportunities to guide programs and organizational capacity, and its volunteer office is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
