Coastal Rep’s Education Program (CRKT)

Coastal Rep’s Education Program (CRKT) offers theatre education that includes musical theater, music, dance, classical voice, piano, and both jazz and classical saxophone. The program focuses on these specific areas of performance and music training for youth.

Coastal Rep’s Education Program states that it delivers a comprehensive theatre education to youth that unleashes their potential and fosters a passion for the arts. The program’s history includes past CRKT shows listed from 1999 through 2023. The leadership team includes Program Manager Sabina Perlsweig and Choreographer and Dance Teacher Jessica Nordby. Sabina Perlsweig has been teaching theatre and music in the Bay Area for over a decade, is trained in musical theater, classical voice, piano, and jazz/classical saxophone, and studied music at UC Berkeley, where she was a member of both the University of California Marching Band and the University Chorus. Jessica Nordby spent a decade working in adolescent mental health. The program is part of a community effort described as “Theatre for the Community, by the Community.”
