Open Ocean Surf Lessons & Camps

Open Ocean Surf Lessons & Camps offers private surf lessons, group surfing classes, surf camp, and surf trips to local California surf locations and Costa Rica. Private surf lessons and group surfing classes are available every day of the year, including holidays, for any age and any level surfer, and each lesson lasts 90 minutes to 2 hours. Surf camp runs during spring breaks and through the whole summer for all ages.

About the provider

Open Ocean Surf Lessons & Camps has been introducing new surfers to an ocean lifestyle since 1990. The owner and surf instructor is Dave Alexander, who has taught for over 25 years. The school is licensed and insured, and its instructors hold CPR and first aid certification. Its mission is to teach surfing and help students enjoy and respect the ocean while having fun and being active.

All students must be able to swim. Special rates are offered for multiple lessons and large groups. Discounts for the family. Package rates available for groups of six or more. All levels are welcome for surf trips.
