Young Actors Workshop is an afterschool theater program. Students create original plays and perform for the community using guided improvisation.

Programs

• Young Actors Workshop — K-12th grade · Afterschool theater program in Half Moon Bay and Oakland, California. Students create original plays and perform for the community using guided improvisation. Founded in 1990.
• Improv: Story Creators — 2nd - 5th grade · 3:30pm - 4:30pm (PCT) · Virtual improv games to enhance storytelling skills; students collaborate to develop a unique story and create their own character. Costumes are welcomed.

About the provider

Young Actors Workshop was founded in 1990. The program’s mission is to provide a positive environment in which children can develop theater skills and have opportunities for public performance. Students showcase their talents in two performances each year: an event at HMB’s annual Pumpkin Festival and the Spring show.
